Deep in the Amazon lives the Huni Kuin people, “the true people”, guardians of an ancestral wisdom that honors the jungle as a living and sacred being.
Their way of life is woven with respect for Mother Earth, humility, joy and a deep sense of community. Medicine, song and ritual are living expressions of an intimate relationship with the forest.
In this immersion you are not a tourist: you are invited to live, participate and learn from respect, gratitude and presence.
"My experience in Boa Vista village was a journey of reconnection, the Huni Kuin people are true guardians of ancestral wisdom: happy and loving children, strong and sensitive women warriors of love, brave men determined and protective, respectful and cordial. I met entire families who enjoy the day to day, welcome you with joy and are attentive to your needs, always offering a smile or attention to how you are feeling, if you need anything. Life in the forest is a life of work, it gives you everything you need to heal your body, mind and spirit. Each plant has an essence and will help you in something, they know each of its benefits. The forest enchants and its people will always welcome you with love. Reaching the floresta is reaching your own heart and it is a journey of transformation, like the jiboia, change your skin and leave behind your obsolete version, walking through the shadows and regaining your strength, like the eagle, have the sharpness to look beyond and focus on the present. Thank you for all that has been shared."
My time in the jungle has been magical in every sense of the word. The whole village has taken care of us at all times. Being so close to nature and living there connects you so much to what is important in life. The facilities have been simple, but it is just what is needed and makes the experience authentic. Bathing in the river and waking up to the birds and sunlight connects you to yourself more than any other experience. During the ceremonies, no one left me alone, even in the difficult moments. You really feel part of them when you are there and they treat you like family.
"The constant practice of taking care of oneself, of the family, of the community, of the territory we inhabit, are living wisdom, are spiritual refuge. Living the experience of communion of sacred plants with the Huni Kuin family is a direct experience with this living wisdom, and their music and art is their knowledge and spiritual gift to all, a privilege to have been able to meet them and allow me to be accompanied by their presence and knowledge, thank you, thank you, thank you".
"Thank you and everyone again for this most profound experience in my life last night.(So far) Blessings."
A few minutes into the jungle is the Diet Center, a sacred space for the deepest work: medicine ceremonies, night prayers and silence accompanied by the jungle. There, life becomes simple: breathe, feel, listen to your process and let nature do its part.
The Boavista Village opens you to the Huni Kuin community life: children, families, laughter, music and spontaneous moments that celebrate existence. It is the ideal place to integrate what you have lived, share and feel part of something bigger. This balance between inner retreat and coexistence in the village makes this trip a complete experience.
